Being transgender doesn't mean mental illness

"Gender incongruence" is used by the World Health Organization to describe transgender. Being transgender used to seen as mental illness, now, it is moving to the next chapter, panel's sexual health. This change among transgender people is a new trend to improve acceptance and health care for transgender dating community. The social environment of transgender people is expected to be more friendly and inclusive to transgender people.

"Gender incongruence" is a new term to describe transgender people who's gender identity is different from the gender they were born with. It shows the world has a better understanding on transgender people and their gender identities. More and more people understand that being transgender is not a kind of mental illness, and it is less likely to cause stigma in social life. In order to reduce life pressure and stigma for transgender people, it is necessary to improve the health care environment for tranny date community. Treat them in an equal way, them they are more likely to be accepted by other people. For transgender community, it is delighted that the world organization pay more and more attention to transgender people. Meanwhile, transgender activist never stop fighting for their equal rights and chances. With the joint efforts of both transgender people and warm-hearted non-transgender people, the living environment of transgender people is better than before.

Several years ago, it seems impossible for ordinary people and the society tom accept transgender people, let alone equal rights and health care systems. Ts dating community used to be a special and unacceptable group. Now, everything seems possible. LGBT community seems more and more accepted by other people, or will be accpeted by other people in lifetime. For gay, lesbian, transgender and bisexual, that is a great progress. WHO starts to pay more attention to the health care system of transgender people and hope to reduce their social stigma by this way. The WHO stated that, Gender identity and gender preference alone are not the base to diagnose one's mental illness. This is not the first time to discuss about transgender mental disorder. Being transgender is not a mental disorder, this is a common sense which has been proved many years ago. The WHO has declared that gender orientation is not a mental disorder in 1990. While, the problem is that many people still have misunderstandings on the gender identity and gender orientation of transgender people. For all transgender people, acceptance is a long process during which misunderstanding and stigma cannot be easily avoided.

Besides WHO, there are some other world organizations work for transgender health care and living environment. Health care is a serious problem for transgender people, especially transgender people who undergone transitioning surgery. On the other hand, hormono therapy also has bad effect on their health condition. So, they need careful health care in daily life. Transgender community is a small group, try to be friendly to all transgender people you meet if you can. I not mean you should accept all transgender people you meet, you should respect them at least.
